Seong Kyung Chan

Seong KyungChan received a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from Chonbuk National University, Jeonju, in 2006. Since 2007, he has been pursuing a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering at KAIST. While an undergraduate student, he received the President Award three times and full scholarship from the university. He is currently receiving a scholarship from the Department of Science and Technology. His current area of research is focusing on semiconductor FAB’s. He is trying to develop algorithms and a method which will enable the creation of an efficient mid-term schedule for semiconductor FAB’s. His activity can be translated into a research to satisfy the real requirements of the Korean electronics companies such as Sam Sung Electronics. Using a discrete event simulation, he is working to develop the efficient and useful midterm scheduling.
